After Goldie's father died the 2 room home that she grew up in was deeded to Goldie and her husband DeWitt. Additional rooms were built and her mother Betsy continued living in this house with her daughter and family. Betsy watched as this once 2 room house became a good sized family home. Both Goldie and her mother died in Cincinnati Ohio just 10 year apart which indicates as some point they both left Spaw Knob and moved to Ohio.
